How Minimax-25 Works
The Minimax 25 skimmer is an advanced oil recovery solution designed to perform in diverse and challenging environments, including Arctic conditions and remote locations. Its lightweight construction features three easily assembled parts—the skimmer body, collection hopper, and brush module—which allow for disassembly in less than a minute, facilitating quick cleaning and maintenance. This skimmer utilizes innovative brush wheel technology, ensuring high oil recovery capacity with less than 2% free water content, making it highly efficient. Made from durable molded polyethylene, both the frame and hopper are designed for longevity and ease of cleaning. The Minimax 25 operates entirely hydraulically, requiring minimal power input, and can be easily connected to a suction pump or vacuum system. Its impressive certified recovery capacity of 26.8 m³/h (118 gallons/min) has been validated by Bureau Veritas and tested at the Ohmsett facilities, underscoring its reliability and efficiency in oil spill response applications.
