We expect all work to be performed with a strong emphasis on safety. At PT. Andalas Petroleum Services, we place special attention on creating a healthy work environment that is free from accidents and injuries through consistent safe practices. Each manager is responsible for compliance with the regulations detailed in our Management System for Occupational Health and Safety. More importantly, every individual, both personally and collectively, is required to adhere to safe working procedures—to protect oneself, fellow workers, and the community. Environmental Policy

PT. Andalas Petroleum Services is firmly committed to protecting our employees and company property from unwanted losses. We aim to achieve our operational goals without compromising safety. Each activity is overseen to ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Proactive danger control is essential; we strive to prevent accidents rather than merely react to them after they occur.
To support this commitment and maintain a safe working environment, PT. Andalas Petroleum Services outlines the following key principles:

  • Safety Standards: We demand that every employee perform their duties while achieving the highest safety standards, aiming for zero disabling injuries.

  • Hazard Identification: We conduct periodic inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring ongoing safety checks and internal audits to address findings and prevent accidents proactively.

  • Employee Training and Communication: We provide comprehensive training for all employees and encourage open communication through a two-way system for sharing information and feedback.

  • Emergency Action Plan: We develop and implement effective emergency action plans and control procedures related to Health, Safety, Environmental Protection, and security to minimize negative impacts on the company.

  • Accident Reporting and Investigation: All field activities will have established procedures for reporting incidents. Any accidents will be thoroughly investigated, documented, and recorded, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

PT. Andalas Petroleum Services has a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol and drugs in the workplace, regardless of the quantity involved. The use of alcohol and illegal drugs significantly increases the risk of accidents; therefore, the use or influence of such substances while on duty is strictly prohibited. Employees must also recognize that prescription medications and drugs obtained from other sources may impair job performance. It is essential to discuss any medications being taken, along with their potential risks, with your supervisor as soon as possible. Employees are responsible for informing their supervisors about the use of all prescription or over-the-counter medications before beginning work. Line managers and supervisors are accountable for ensuring adherence to this policy.

Land & Transport Policy

For four-wheeled vehicles, drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a practical driving exam before being authorized to operate company vehicles. Additionally, vehicles must be inspected prior to operation to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly, and seat belts must be worn by both drivers and passengers at all times while the vehicle is in motion. The maximum allowable speed is 80 km/h, provided that road conditions permit safe travel. For two-wheeled vehicles, riders must hold a valid driver’s license, and passengers are required to wear standard helmets during trips. In the interest of safety, it is advised not to operate two-wheeled vehicles in rainy weather, and four-wheeled vehicles should be used instead when necessary.
