Mini Frac Test Services

Mini Frac Test Services

Mini-frac testing is essential for understanding in-situ stress conditions, particularly important in deep-buried tunnel design to mitigate risks such as rock bursting and large deformations during excavation. Leveraging expertise from the oil and gas sectors, we’ve expanded our mini-frac (openhole) services to the field of tunnel engineering.

Importance of In-Situ Stress Measurement

Role in Tunnel Engineering

Crucial for assessing potential hazards associated with tunnel excavation.

Methodology

The mini-frac test is recognized as the most reliable method for measuring in-situ stress conditions.

Testing Equipment

Manifold System:

  • Maximum Pressure: 35 MPa
  • Flow Rates: Maximum: 50 L/min Minimum: 3 L/min
  • Features: Fine-controlled injection, flowback, and bypass systems.

Lightweight Pump:

  • Maximum Pressure: 60 MPa

Reusable Downhole Straddle Packer:

  • Maximum Pressure: 85 MPa
  • Diameter: 33 mm (up to 190 m)
  • Testing Interval: 0.5 m – 2.5 m
  • Equipped With: Downhole pressure and temperature sensors.

Real-Time Analysis and Decision Software

This software aids in analyzing data from the tests in real time, providing insights for decision-making during the frac process.
